Barely two days after members of Islamic Movement in Nigeria, popularly known as Shiites staged a violent protest at the National Assembly, shooting some police officers and vandalizing properties, the aggrieved youths have returned to the streets of Abuja for fresh protest.

In follow up to Shiite-Police clash which poses a threat to the peace of the National Assembly complex and Nigeria at large, the Members of the House of Representative has yesterday urged the federal government to obey existing court order over the detained leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), Ibrahim El-Zakzaky to ease the unending protest by the group.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of Adamawa Command, Suleiman Yahaya has confirmed the kidnapping of the Permanent Secretary of Adamawa State Ministry of Mineral Resources, Emmanuel Piridimso.
