Katsina United have announced plans to hold one minute silence in their next fixture against Bendel Insurrance in honour of the displaced persons of Maiduguri.


This statement was publicized by the management of Katsina United on their X (twitter) handle.

The statement reads, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Maiduguri due to the recent flood that displaced so many people in the state.”

“As a result, we decided to sympathise with the affected by conducting a one-minute silence this weekend before the commencement of our match with Bendel Insurance.”

Katsina united will play against Bendel Insurance on matchday 2 at the Muhammad Dikko Stadium on Sunday.

However, the governing body of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, have postponed the match between El-kanemi Warriors vs Kwara United indefinitely.
