The Department of State Services, DSS, has cleared the air over rumors making around that its operatives invaded the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) headquarters in Abuja to arrest Godwin Emifele, the CBN Governor. The CBN governor, Godwin Emifele since late last year has been in a controversial manner cast in a bad light by the media for the wrong reasons, initially over the Stamp Duty saga and later for terrorism financing by the DSS. Emifele left Nigeria for a medical trip overseas according to his claim, after failing to appear before the House of Reps Committee Panel o Investigation for Stamp Duty and the apex bank policies.

An Inspector of Police, Matthew Ahmed, a colleague to the alleged killer corp Drambi Vandi who was said murdered a female lawyer Bolanle Raheem on 25th December 2022 has told the Lagos State High Court at the Tafawa Balewa Square on 16th January 2023, how the incident occurred during a stop and search. Ahmed who appeared before the presiding judge, Ibironke Harrison testified how he and two other police officers, Inspector Ebieme and Vandi were on duty the said day. “While we were at the duty post at Ajah underbridge, we were conducting stop and search,” he recounted.

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has commended President Muhammadu Buhari, for his sustained efforts at defeating Boko Haram terrorists and bandits wreaking havoc in many parts of the country. A Catholic priest identifies as Rev. Father Isaac Achi, has been gruesomely murdered by bandits after invading his residence in the wee hour of today Sunday morning in Paiko Local Government in Niger state. Vigil360 learned that when the bandits invaded the priest's residence, they couldn’t gain access to him because of the security measures he put on his house, consequently, the terrorist out of anger set his house ablaze while he was still in, destroying everything in the house.

A fire incident in Araromi spare parts market, Ibadan has depredated no fewer than 25 shops in the early hours of Saturday. General Manager(GM), of Oyo State Fire Service, Rev. Canon Yemi Akinyinka who confirmed the incident stated that the service got an emergency call about the incident around 2.30 a.m, and immediately deployed personnel to the place to dowse the incident.

The immediate past Director General of the Labour Party, LP, campaign organization, Mr. Doyin Okupe has been arrested by the Department of States Services, DSS operative at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos. This was made known by one of the Okupe Lawyers, Mr. Tolu Babaleye while his client was on his way to London. According to Babaleye, the secret police after arresting Okupe demanded that he should furnish them with the Court process where he paid the fine option following his conviction by the High court last December in Abuja.
