The Nigeria Immigration Service boss, Muhammed Babandede, has stated at the weekly briefing of the Presidential Task Force in Abuja yesterday (Tuesday) to revoke the visas of foreign visitors who have failed to present their COVID-19 test certificates on arrival in the country.

The Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr. Ali Isa Ibrahim Pantami has directed the immediate suspension of staff involved in the extortion of National Identity Number (NIN) applicants at the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) offices in Bauchi and Kaduna States. This was disclosed by Engr. Aliyu Aziz, Director-General/CEO, NIMC in a statement issued in Abuja by the Head Corporate Communication, Mr. Kayode Adegoke, saying the directive followed public outcry alleging some NIMC officials in Bauchi and Kaduna were extorting applicants of money, exploiting the demand for the NIN.

The Boko Haram Terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the abduction of hundreds of schoolboys from Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State. The leader of the terrorist group, Abubakar Shelau made the claim in a video released on Tuesday, saying the group was responsible for the attack, adding that the school was teaching students things that could "destroy Islam".
