The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Chairman in Nasarawa state, Bishop Joseph Masin who was taken away by unknown gunmen some three days ago has regained his freedom.

 

The CAN chairman who doubled as the General-Overseer of World of God Worldwide Gospel City was kidnapped by unknown gunmen from his resident in Lafiya on May 28.

Subsequently, his abductors demanded an N20 million ransom for his release.

Bola Longe, the commissioner of Police in Nasarawa state has confirmed his release to the media though did not reveal whether the ransom was paid before his release.

However, he disclosed four suspects have been arrested by the police in connection with his abduction.

He said all the suspect would be charged to court for prosecution after the investigation is concluded.

Sam Joseph, son to the released pastor confirmed to media that his father was released at about 11:45 p.m on Saturday.

He added the abducted pastor was released around Lizhi village in Nasarawa Eggon Local government Area of the state.

Subsequently, the pastor arrived his resident at Bukan-Sidi in Lafiya at about 2:00 a.m on Saturday and has since been taken for medical examination to a disclosed hospital, the son revealed.
