The Police in Borno have confirmed that 18 persons were killed in multiple suicide bomb attacks at Muna Gari community of Konduga Local Government Area on Wednesday.


The Nigerian Army has resolved to probe the shooting that resulted in the death of an officer and a senior non-commission officer in Borno State.

A Board of Inquiry has therefore been constituted to unravel the circumstances surrounding the shooting which took place in Chibok.

The Chairman Senate Committee on Air Force, Senator Duro Faseyi on Saturday, commissioned the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Reference Hospital in Port Harcourt.

According to a statement by the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information (DOPRI), the 60-bed Reference Hospital is equipped with sophisticated modern facilities including CT Scan, Renal Dialysis Machine, a fully equipped medical laboratory as well as dental and eye centres.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has denied paying the whistleblower that led its operatives to the recovery of more than $43million in an apartment in Osborne, Ikoyi Lagos.

News reports had quoted the commission’s acting acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu that the person has been paid.

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered the interim forfeiture to the Federal Government, the property known as Flat 7b No 16, Osborn Road Ikoyi, Lagos.

It is the property linked to the dismissed Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ayo Oke, where the EFCC recovered the sums of $43,449,947.00, €27,800 and N23,218,000.00 in April.
