The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Tanko Muhammad, has sworn in 18 judges who were recently elevated to the Court of Appeal. The swearing-in ceremony was held at the main court of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Abuja.
The ceremony was initially scheduled to be held on April 29, 2021, but was indefinitely postponed due to the indefinite strike by judicial workers at the time.
The newly appointed justices of the Court of Appeal are Mohammed Danjuma (Niger State), Abdul-Azeez Waziri (Adamawa State), Usman Musale (Yobe State), Ibrahim Jaruo (Yobe State), Muhammad Sirajo (Plateau State), Abba Mohammed (Kano State), Bature Gafai (Katsina State), Yusuf Bashir (Taraba State), Danlami Senchi (Kebbi State), Hassan Sule (Zamfara State) and Mohammed Abubakar (Sokoto State).
Others are Kenneth Amadi (Imo State), Peter Affen (Bayelsa State), Sybil Gbagi (Delta State), Bola Ademola (Ondo State), Olabode Adegbehingbe (Ondo State), Olasunbo Goodluck (Lagos State), and Adebukola Banjoko (Ogun State).
