The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba has posted Assistant Inspector-General (AIG), John Amadi as acting Deputy Inspector-General (DIG), Department of Research and Planning, Force Headquarters, Abuja, and DIG representing the South-East geopolitical zone. Similarly, the IGP also deployed Moronike Adesina as Commissioner of Police of Ekiti State Police Command and both postings are with immediate effect.
This was disclosed in a statement on Monday by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), acting spokesman, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi.
According to the statement, the acting DIG, Amadi is from Ebonyi State with a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Biology) and a Master’s degree in Education both from the University of Lagos.
Amadi has attended numerous professional courses both within and outside Nigeria and has held several command positions such as Commissioner of Police, Railway Police Command at Western Ports Authority, Lagos, and Airport Command, Lagos State.
He is a member of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Plateau State, and was a Directing Staff at the Institute prior to his recent posting.
The statement also said Adesina, takes over the duties of the office of the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Police Command, and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy and Bachelor of Laws degree.
Adesina is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, USA and prior to his recent posting, he was CP, General Investigations, Force Criminal Investigations Department, Abuja.
