The Emir of Zuru, Major Gen. Mohammed Sani Sami (Rtd) has disclosed that politicians who failed to win elections are the people responsible for our current security predicament in Nigeria.

The General turned monarch made this call while granting an interview to Daily Sun, calling on President Buhari to go hard on those who do not wish Nigeria to remain a republic, saying if left unchecked they are capable of splitting the country into pieces.

He revealed they are on a mission of destruction and are doing everything possible to undermine the administration of President Buhari not to succeed, drawing the attention of Mr President to wake up and face the real saboteurs of this country.

In his statement, “how can individuals call for the sack of service chiefs when it is the exclusive power of Mr President to do so at his own time” besides, the country is in need of security strategy that will ease the country out of the present situation.

Sami, who was recruited in the Nigerian Army as a second lieutenant in 1963 alongside President Buhari said plenty amongst the wicked politicians have been working round the clock to ensure Buhari does not succeed, saying since they could not win the election they want to scatter everything called Nigeria.

The former General who at a point was Governor in states like, Benue, Bauchi and Sokoto at the different time called on those types of politicians to emulate the resilience of President Buhari, who never gave up on Nigeria through contesting election for four times before the General election of 2015 returned him, President.

He said Nigerian Army lack manpower and should be supported and funded to recruit more troops instead of apportioning blame game, but was optimistic that the country would get out of the wood.

His statement, “Just as I said, many wicked politicians are out there and don’t want Buhari to succeed”.

They just want to make sure that this country breaks into pieces and God will not allow them.

“I think by now, they ought to have learnt from President Buhari who have contested elections and lost many times.

“Despite these losses, he exercised patience before God answered his prayers in the 2015 general election.

If you lose the election, why must you throw the country into crisis?

“Why must you say Nigeria must go, break into pieces?

We must avoid playing dirty politics.

If there is any issue in the country you are not satisfied with, let us embrace dialogue, discussions; going to the British Council, the USA would not solve our problems.

The solution to our problem is within Nigeria and among Nigerians, he said.
