The Kaduna state police command Headquarters has confirmed the death of six persons during an attack on Tuesday Night at the convoy of the Emir of Potiskum, Alhaji Umaru Bubaram.
Mr. Yakubu Sabo, the spokesperson of the command confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), saying the incident occurred at about 11.00 pm.
According the spokesperson, several others might have been abducted by the bandits as empty vehicles were recovered at the scene of the incident when it was visited this morning.
However, during the time of filling this report, it was not clear the degree of injury being sustained by the Emir himself, as one of his aid, Mallam Sabo said though the Emir was taken to Barau Dikko Hospital in Kaduna, but he is doing fine.
He added, the Commissioner of police in the state, Umar Muri had visited the Emir at the Hospital.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson revealed that an investigation into the matter has commenced.
