In the wake of accusations and counter-accusations that have greeted the Federal High Court's ruling on the release of Omoyele Sowore, publisher of Sahara Reporters, the Department of State Sevices (DSS) has revealed that Sowore would only be released after due process is followed.
The Agency's spokesperson, Dr. Peter Afunanya recounted that the Service was yet to receive the court order adding that, his (Sowore’s) counsel is a very senior member of the bar who ought to have known the process to follow; this process has not been followed.
Although the claims of Afunanya was different from Sowore's lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), who disclosed that the DSS was economical with the truth as one Ayuba Adam from the Agency’s Legal Service Department received the said court order on September 25, 2019, at exactly 10:08 am.
