The Federal Ministry of Education through the Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba has stated that students may be asked to sit for the General Certificate Examinations (GCE) which is usually held in November as the country may fail to meet up with this year’s West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) timetable due to the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the country.

In a bid to provide a safe environment for students set to participate in the 2020 West African Examination Council (WAEC) examinations, the council has released safety guidelines for the conduct of this year's exams on Tuesday.
