Stop Interfering In Other Countries Affairs - Russia, China Chides USA

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping have berated the United States of America (USA) for interference in the affairs of other countries. The two leaders, during an hour-long phone conversation on Thursday 8th, February 2024, discussed the creation of a “multipolar, fairer world order”. Moscow and Beijing have continued to expand their global influence over the past two years as they ramp up ties in trade and defense.

Gaza/Israeli War: Hamas Express Readiness For Ceasefire Negotiation

Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh, has today Tuesday expressed their readiness that his followers, the Hamas group is working on a draft agreement with Israel to bring an end to the war currently going on. Haniyeh disclosed that the draft agreement if concluded would lead to an exchange of hostages of prisoners and a longer ceasefire in the Gaza war. 

ICJ Slams Israel On Killings In Gaza

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Friday ordered Israel to do more to prevent the killing and harm of civilians in Gaza but did not call for a cease-fire. The ruling disappointed Palestinians who had hoped the court would endorse their pleas for immediate relief from the violence.

Senior Hezbollah Commander Killed In Alleged Israeli Strike

A senior Hezbollah commander has been killed in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon, according to a Lebanese security official. The Lebanese group made public a series of photographs of Wissam al-Tawil also known as 'Jawad', showing him with top Hezbollah commanders who were killed before him and senior officials, including the group's chief Hassan Nasrallah. Reports suggest that a car Tawil was in was targeted in the Khirbet Selm area, before veering off the road and catching fire. Middle East correspondent for Sky News, Alistair Bunkall, said the commander belonged to the Radwan force - and the strike comes as US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is heading to Israel for talks to prevent a wider war.

Former Pakistan PM Khan Jailed For 10 Years

Imran Khan, a former Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan was sentenced to 10 years jail term on Tuesday, less than 2 weeks before the country’s election which his political party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been hamstrung from contesting. His sentence was read inside Adiala jail, where has been detained most of the time since his arrest in August 2023. Khan has faced multiple court cases, which he claims were orchestrated to prevent his political comeback.

Twin Blasts Kill 84 Persons Near Slain Iranian Commander’s Grave

At least 84 people have been killed when two bombs went off near the tomb of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps General Qasem Soleimani in the Iranian City of Kerman on the fourth anniversary of his assassination by the US, Iran's state media report. Scores of others were reportedly injured when the blasts hit a procession near the Saheb al-Zaman mosque in the city of Kerman. The number of dead had initially been reported as 103, but Iran's health minister said some names were accidentally registered twice.
