The Federal Government officially concessions its medical warehouse facilities in Lagos and FCT, Abuja to MD Logistics.

Mr. Chidi Izuwah, the Director-General of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC) made this known alongside the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole and the Minister of State for Health, Dr. Osage Ehinire after the official signing yesterday in Abuja.

The Warehouse in Lagos and Abuja were constructed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Health.

Mr. Izuwah said the N1.56 billion concession will enable the government to save up money, through the Public Private Partnership (PPP) and MDS logistics. Also, the project would improve the health sector, as medicine would be effectively stored.

Speaking, Prof. Adewole noted that the project is aimed at attracting private investors to the Nigerian health sector, having successfully completed their first PPP project.
