Paris - Rafael Nadal was confirmed as the world number one for the first time in three years in the latest ATP rankings released on Monday. The Spaniard, who learned he was going to reclaim the ATP summit a week ago, last topped the men's charts in July 2014.

The Russian five-time was granted the wildcard into her first time since her two-year doping ban for testing positive for heart disease drug meldonium at the 2016 Australian Open.
Twenty-year old German Alexander Zverev beat Roger Federer 6-3, 6-4 on Sunday in Montreal, Canada to take the Rogers Cup final. The 20-year-old Zverev won last week in Washington and has five titles this season, including in two ATP Masters 1000 events. He’s the youngest winner here since Novak Djokovic beat Federer in 2007 final.
