The Super Eagles will be flying straight from the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja to their base in Garoua, in the North region of Cameroon for next month’s Africa Cup of Nations. The Eagles are drawn in a seemingly Tough Group D along with seven-time record winners Egypt as well as Sudan and Guinea-Bissau with the Super Eagles opening their account on January 9 against the Pharaohs at the Roumde Adjia Stadium in Garoua. But speaking in Lagos yesterday, NFF President Amaju Pinnick, said the federation had sorted some of the traveling logistics, especially flight’s landing rights.
The Nigeria contingent would expectedly be flown to the cotton-rich Garoua by the official airline of the Super Eagles, Air Peace.
Both the NFF and Air peace sealed a deal worth over N500 million for all the national teams’ travels last September.
The reputable airline has since flown the Super Eagles with one of their brand new aircraft to their away games against Cape Verde and Liberia.
