Leicester City forward Ahmed Musa is set to undergo a medical at CSKA Moscow after sealing a season-long loan deal with his former club. The 25-year-old Nigeria international moved from CSKA to Leicester for a club-record £18.2million fee in 2016 but has failed to break into the first team following his erratic performance.

The player, despite having a promising start to his Leicester career, he has made just one appearance this season, with the rest of his action being with the team B side.

Before sealing a loan deal with CSKA Moscow, Musa had been linked with other Premier League sides this month, including West Brom. He was however poised to return to Russia, where he scored 42 league goals in his first stint for CSKA.

Musa has netted five times in 33 outings in all competitions since joining Leicester City.
