Super Eagles Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye has disclosed that the home-based Super Eagles will travel by road to Cotonou on Friday ahead of the 2018 African Nations Championship playoffs first leg qualifier against Benin Republic. Ibitoye who made the disclosure during an interview with Complete Sports stated that the team will depart Kano by air to Lagos before proceeding to Cotonou by road. He, however, did not give reasons why the team will embark on a road trip for the encounter.
The match is billed to take place on Sunday while the second leg will be played in Kano a week later.
The winner of both legs will qualify for the 2018 CHAN to be hosted in Kenya.v
