Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone has praised Chelsea's new striker Alvaro Morata ahead of a crucial Champions League encounter in Madrid. At a prematch conference, Simeone who played against Morata when he was at Real Madrid said he was an important player and usually contributes meaningfully to the success of his team.

“I’ll talk about Morata,” Simeone said ahead of today’s game. I’ll not talk about Costa because he’s not playing for Chelsea any more. Morata is a very important player, with great movement in the box, he knows how to play with his back to goal and can keep the ball.
“He’ll perform really well at Chelsea as the great player that he is.”

Also Club midfielder, Koke reiterated Simeone's position and prayed that Morata should have a bad day when they clash this evening.

"There are many Spanish players at Chelsea and they are scoring goals like my friend Morata. Everything he touches is hitting the back of the net. Let’s hope they do not have a good day tomorrow.”

Morata who arrived Chelsea before the close of the summer transfer has scored six goals and earned two assists in six competitive games for his new club. Last week, the Spain international bagged a hatrick against Stoke City.
