Paris Saint-Germain are considering a move for Antoine Griezmann as a candidate to replace Kylian Mbappe, should the latter leave the Parc des Princes for Reall Madrid at the end of the season.

The PSG striker, whose contract ends in June 2022, has been increasingly linked with Real Madrid in recent years.

PSG have already started to prepare for the life beyond the French striker. One of the names being discussed is that of his compatriot Griezmann who has found it hard to adjust in Barcelona since moving there from Atletico Madrid this summer.

According to the FourFourTwo magazine, PSG are closely monitoring Griezmann's situation. The Frenchman has struggled to find his feet at his new club and there are question marks over his relationship with Lionel Messi, both on and off the pitch.

PSG's interest in Griezmann stems from the fact that Mbappe has so far failed to sign a new contract. The player is in control of his destiny. The Frenchman's dream has always been to play for Real Madrid.

Zinedine Zidane has also come out in recent weeks to talk up a potential move for the striker in the coming years.

"Mbappe has always said that his dream is to play at Real Madrid," Zidane said in a recent press conference.
