Inter Milan continued their revival under new coach Luciano Spalletti with an assured display in a 2-1 victory over English champions Chelsea to win the International Champions Cup Singapore tournament on Saturday. Chelsea lose for the second time this week after a performance that was at times better, at times worse than in the 3-2 defeat against Bayern Munich.

Chelsea’s manager Antonio Conte sent out a strong Chelsea line-up from the squad available on the tour, with record signing Alvaro Morata handed a debut start on the left side of a front-three, alongside Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi and Brazilian Willian.

Chelsea played the first half better, but an absolute joke of a penalty call changed that feeling at the end of the first half and Inter carved Chelsea apart multiple times on the counter in the second as the Blues pushed for a goal.

The pre-season tour is now over for Chelsea and it’s time to get back to the drawing board seeing that there’s work to be done before their Community Shield Cup against London rivals, Arsenal FC.
