Super Eagles skipper John Mikel Obi opened his goal account in the Chinese Super League (CSL) this season as his 27th minute striike helped Tianjin Teda to a 2-1 comeback win against visiting Guangzhou R and F on Saturday.

It was his first goal in six league games for Tianjin this new campaign

Guangzhou R and F took an early lead as Zhizhao Chen scored in the ninth minute.

Mikel drew Tianjin level when he equalised in the 27th minute to make it 1-1.

And in the 29th minute, Jiakang Hui scored what proved to be the winner, giving Tianjin a 2-1 home win.

The win was Tianjin’s second in the league this season which places them in eighth position on eight points in the 16-team league table.

Last season, Mikel scored just one goal in 13 league appearances for Tianjin Teda.
