NCC successfully Conduct Pilot Auction Of 3.5Ghz Spectrum For 5G

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) says it has successfully carried out a mock session for the 3.5 gigahertz (GHz) spectrum auction for the deployment of the Fifth Generation (5G) network in the country. The commission added that only MTN Nigeria, Mafab Communications Ltd, and Airtel Networks Ltd are qualified as approved bidders for the 5G, having met all requirements for participating in the licensing process.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has alerted the public about a new android malware capable of gaining access and taking control of infected smartphones. This was disclosed on Tuesday by NCC’s, Director, Public Affairs, Ikechukwu Adinde who stated that the malware known as AbstractEmu not only seized control of infected smartphones but was capable of silently modifying device settings while also evading detection.

NCC Alerts Nigerians Of New Malware Stealing Bank Details

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has alerted millions of Nigerian telecom consumers of the existence of An extremely damaging new malware "Flubot" which steals personal information and bank details from devices. The commission in a statement signed by Director, Public Affairs, Dr. Ikechukwu Adinde said the 'Flubot' targets Android devices, disguising as security updates and App installations, adding that the malware masks as "Android mobile banking applications to draw fake web view on targeted applications", stealing personal data including credit card details or online banking credentials.
