Following concerted efforts by men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS), less than 24 hours after his abduction, the son of Nigeria's former Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, has been released. Confirming his release, the Oyo State Police Command, disclosed that Mr Dayo Adewole, who was allegedly kidnapped on Tuesday about 6 pm at gunpoint in his farm in Iroko, Akinyele Local Government Area of the state has released unconditionally.

Reports indicate the arrest of a quack doctor employed by Adamawa State Government who was alleged to have caused the death of Over 15 patients.
