Following a recommendation from the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-corruption Commission, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, has issued a query to embattled Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, over alleged financial misappropriation. In a letter signed on behalf of the government, the secretary to the state government (SSG) demanded a response of His Highness within 48 hours.

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) on Thursday announced that it has suspended the broadcasting license of Daar Communications Plc, over violation of the Nigerian Broadcasting Code. The Director-General of NBC, Mallam Is’haq Modibbo-Kawu in Abuja, made the announcement.

Following a tip-off that some traders at an Abuja suburban were hawking and trading Nigeria's legal tender, the Central Bank of Nigeria, Enforcement Committee on the Abuse of the Naira in collaboration with the FCT Police Command and Department of State Security Services on Friday, 31st May 2019 stormed Dei-Dei to arrest the defaulters. The offence is contrary to Sections 20 and 21 of the CBN Act, 2007.
