A notorious bandit leader known as Ibrahim Daji was reportedly killed in Kwanar Nasir, Gusau Local Government Area (LGA) of Zamfara State. According to reports, Daji was allegedly killed by members of a rival faction and his body was reportedly left at the scene.
Daji was notorious for various criminal activities such as leading violent attacks along the Kwatarkwashi-Mada road and surrounding areas.
His stronghold was in Shangel village, located to the east of Mada town, where he also allegedly provided refuge to other criminals such as Bello Taggoje.
Daji was regarded as a key individual in the region’s network of criminals, he commanded a significant number of followers and his death is considered as a major breakthrough in the fight against banditry in Zamfara State.
