A Vigilante group in Okpe Community of Delta state on Wednesday apprehended and disarmed eight Fulani herdsmen allegedly attempting to invade the town. A member of the group told Vigil360 that they acted on intelligence that the herdsmen were coming to invade the town. He disclosed that following the information, they laid ambush for the herdsmen before apprehending them.
He listed weapons recovered from them to include locally made guns, machetes, clubs and bow and arrow.
He said the herdsmen would be handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
