Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umar Radda, has given order to commence the restoration of electricity supply at Umaru Musa Yaradua University with an immediate effect.


This was revealed in a statement released by the Secretary to the Government of the state, Abdullahi Faskari.

The statement read, “Sequel to that, the Governor had approved the immediate release of the sum of Three Hundred and Fourteen Million, Six Hundred and Five Thousand, Five Hundred and Fifty Naira for two separate electricity projects in the University. 

“Firstly, the replacement of 33KVA indoor control panel and other accessories which supply power to the school at the cost of Two Hundred and Sixteen Million, Three Hundred and Fifty-Eight Thousand, Nine Hundred and One Naira. 

It added, “Secondly, the installation of solar security lights awarded at the cost of Ninety Eight Million, Two Hundred and Forty-Six Thousand, Six Hundred and Forty-Nine Naira to address incidents of vandalism and insecurity in the University.”
