Family members, colleagues, and well-wishers have thronged the funeral venue of Nigeria's first female combat pilot, Tolulope Arotile, to pay their last respect and send her gentle soul to eternal rest.

The funeral service, at the military cemetery on Airport Road, FCT Abuja, is being conducted by Director Chaplaincy of the NAF Group, Captain Gani.

The remains of Flying Officer Arotile arrived at the cemetery about 9:30 am.

In attendance were Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello, Chairman senate committee on NAF, Bala Na'alah, the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Yusuf Buratai, being represented by Brigadier General Odoba, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal, Abubakar Sadique, among many other distinguished personalities.

Tributes have been pouring in all day.
