The Executive Secretary (ES) of National University Commission (NUC), Professor Abubakar Rasheed revealed the commission is currently reviewing university curriculum to improve the quality of the university system with the view of making Nigerian graduates compete with their global counterpart.

The information was revealed at the Veritas University during their 7th convocation ceremony held in Abuja over the weekend, where 141 students were turned out as graduates. He said the federal government was concerned over frequent complaint emanating from industry employers that our Nigerian graduates are unemployable.


The NUC Boss, represented by, Mr. Chris Maiyaki, a Director in his office said a committee headed by Professor Okebukola, a former Executive Secretary has been engaged to lead the commission towards readdressing the curriculum to reposition the Nigerian university system.


Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Hyacinth Ichoku, in his speech revealed that 10 graduates bagged first class while 46 others were awarded second class upper division.
