President Buhari has approved the reappointment of Ishaq Oloyede as Registrar/Chief Executive of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for the second term of five years.

 

This was disclosed in a statement by the Director, Press and Public Affairs, Federal Ministry of Education, Ben Bem Goong. 

According to the statement, Prof. Abubakar Rasheed was also reappointed as the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commissions (NUC) for another five years. 

Oloyede and Rasheed’s appointments take effect from 1st August 2021. 

Similarly, Hamid Bobboyi was also reappointed as the Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) while Prof. Ifeoma Isiugo-Abanihe was also reappointed as Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB). 

Bobboyi’s appointment takes effect from 21st August 2021 and would serve for a second and final tenure of four years while Abanihe would occupy the position for another four years. 

Furthermore, Prof. Promise Mebine has been appointed for an initial tenure of five years as the Director/Chief Executive of the National Mathematical Centre with effect from 17th August 2021. 

Their reappointments were based on the recommendation of the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu.
