A multi-million naira project, Zungeru Hydro Electricity Dam in Niger State was hits by explosion on Monday. The Federal Government hydro dam, still under construction and yet to be commissioned is the fourth hydroelectric dam in Niger State after Jebba, Kainji, and Shiroro. The cause of the explosion which occurred early Monday is yet to be known, leaving several workers with various degrees of injuries.
Though, the injured people are currently receiving treatment at nearby hospitals and at Minna, the state capital.
A Chinese national with severe injuries was taken to Minna for further medical care.
