The Federal Government (FG) has stated that the recruitment exercise for the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and the Federal Fire Service (FFS) would be completed before the end of September 2024. This was made known in a statement issued by the Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, Ja’afaru Ahmed, adding that the next stage of the exercise would begin in August.

He said, “The Board wishes to apologise for its inability to complete the process by 15th June 2024, as earlier intended.

“This is due to a nationwide manpower audit carried out in the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS) and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), which was just recently ended.

“All shortlisted candidates will be duly notified of the next stage through their phone numbers and email addresses.”
