NIN/SIM Linkage: September Deadline Crucial To Its Success

The National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, has revealed that the September 14 deadline issued by the Federal Government as the final date for the linkage of the National Identification Number, NIN, with the Subscribers’ Identity Modules, SIM, remains sacrosanct.

This as NIMC disclosed that its staff and equipment are working round the clock at all their designated outlets nationwide and in the Diaspora registering Nigerians seamlessly to ensure proper enrolment, verification and authentication, and modification of data all at the same time.

Reiterating by its Head of Corporate Communications of NIMC, Dr Kayode Adegoke, the Commission explained that other services are also going at the same time to meet the needs of Nigeria for the NIN-SIM linkage deadline.

The statement from Mr Kayode partly reads; “The commission wishes to reiterate that all its over Ten Thousand NIN enrolment centres across the country and in the Diaspora are open for NIN enrolment. Nigerians and legal residents can visit any of the centres to enrol and be issued the NIN.

“This assurance is given in light of the 14th September 2024 deadline for the NIN-SIM linkage 

“NIMC also wishes to inform Nigerians and legal residents that any applicant who wants to modify his or her NIN data can do so through the NIMC Self-Service portal (Terms and conditions apply)

“Furthermore, NIN Holders and applicants can make inquiries on NIN enrolment centres, processes and procedures for NIN Data modifications, NIN Verification issues and any other inquiries, via – www.nimc.gov.ng.
