President Bola Tinubu has appointed Ekperikpe Ekpo, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the co-chairman of the governing council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) which was made known in a statement issued on Thursday by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.


The statement said that this is in accordance with the President’s dedication to “establish a more efficient, targeted and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country.”

He noted that this development was to “further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation’s assets”, adding that President Tinubu remained committed to unlocking Nigeria’s vast gas potential in order to stimulate job creation, industrial development and sustainable economic growth.
