Residents of Ogrute Ulo community in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State have handed over a newly built general hospital to deities for security. The community, in total submission requests the deities to take over the facility protection after equipment, including an ambulance, TV sets, solar panel, among others were reported missing from the hospital.
Community residents lamented that they were being frustrated by unknown persons stealing the equipment.
“The people here today are people of Ogrute Ulo community. This is Ogrute Ulo General Hospital built for us by the government.”
“The government brought for us equipment for taking care of the sick. They brought solar battery, an ambulance, TV sets and all other good things you can think of, but can no longer be found within a short a time.”
“So we have agreed to hand over this General hospital to the deities here. Any man or woman, who said he or she is not happy about this hospital and has a hand in the missing items, let the deities take care of them.”
