2023 Elections: Alex Otti Declared Abia Gov-Elect

Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate, Alex Otti, has been declared the winner of the Abia State governorship election 96 hours after electorates had cast their vote on Saturday, March 18 2023. The LP candidate who polled 175,467 votes defeated Okey Ahiwe of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Enyinnaya Nwafor of the Young Peoples Party (YPP).

Yuletide Season: FG Declares Public Holidays For Christmas, New Year

The Federal Government (FG) has declared Monday, December 26, and Tuesday, December 27, 2022, as public holidays to mark the Christmas celebrations while Monday, January 2, 2023, would also be a work-free day to celebrate the New Year festivities. 2023 General Elections: INEC Announces Voting Procedure
