INEC: Over 1M Nigerians Completed Voter Registration

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said over one million Nigerians have completed the ongoing nationwide physical voter registration. Also, the number of online pre-registrants is 3,165,189 while 1,457,766 Nigerians have applied for voter transfer, replacement of Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs), and update of information records.

APC Constitutes National Reconciliation Committee

The All Progressive Congress (APC) has approved the composition of a National Reconciliation Committee to reconcile aggrieved members of the party. The constitution of the committee follows the increase in litigations by aggrieved members against the party. Anambra: INEC Names Ozigbo As PDP Candidate

The Independent National Electoral Commission has named Valentine Ozigbo as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the November 6 governorship election in Anambra State. This was made known in a statement by Mr. Festus Okoye, the National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee on Thursday in Abuja.

Gov. Abdullahi Sule Sacks Cabinet, Aides

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has on Monday dissolved his cabinet, sacking all the Commissioners, Senior Special Advisers, and Special Assistants in the state. The governor announced the dissolution during the State Executive Council meeting held in the Government House in Lafia, appreciating the sacrifices and efforts of the members of his cabinet for the successes recorded in the state.
